The Blue Carbuncle Summary
My review:
Wonderful book. A different case.
Watson visits Holmes, when he sees Holmes investigating a dark old hat.
There had been a case where Peterson visits Holmes with this hat and a goose seeking help.
Peterson meets a man who starts fighting and running, when he leaves a hat and a goose. H.B-Henry Baker was the name written. Near the gills of the goose a precious stone, looking more like the countesses carbuncle was found. There had been a news, about the missing carbuncle. James Rynder was the one who witnessed the case. John Horner a plumber was thrown into prison. Searching everywhere,Henry gives a slice of information that the goose had been bought from a tradesman. The tradesman gives another slice, that a large owner had given him. Searching and searching, Holmes meets James.
James,was the culprit
But how??
James had found a red stone which he wanted to give his friend to investigate and had hid in the gills of a goose. His wife had been trading them. Confused, James picks the wrong one and now it had passed and passed……….
Now in this situation.
He hadn’t even used the jewel but was to be accused.
Not knowing what to do he sobbed.
