Silver bake, an athletic race horse has been lost and its trainer John Straker has been murdered on a stormy night. The second incident, the case mystifies is the dog on the night didn’t attack but was silent. How? What? Why?

Summary.
Sherlock Holmes receives a case of a missing horse-silver blaze,and a murdered man – John Straker. The whereabouts of the case was first taken by inspector Gregory, but the help seeker-colonel Ross wasn’t satisfied with the performance hence seeks help. It’s known that the stable boy has been fed with opium with his dinner feast,curried mutton. It’s also known that John Straker had been out there taking the horses the same night. When murdered, John had been killed with a knife which relates to their first suspect and the final one-Fitzroy Simpson. But some of the clues did not relate so well hence the case had resumed. Sherlock Holmes with his unbeatable skills had found silver blaze and kept it ready for the race with the colonel unknown. Then he had found that the three sheets which the farmer had was lame.The mysterious incident of the dog being silent. And the knife having the prints of the killed,Holmes concludes that John Straker himself was the victim. He had been thinking about to sell the horse for money hence by hurting it with a surgical knife leading to lameness. He had practiced these tricks onto the sheeps. The issue of the dog finalised when , the dog could only be silent when a person who it knows enters. The silver blaze panicking, had kicked John and hence found John lying dead. The other interesting but dumb moves by John was that he had changed his and his wife’s names as William Derbyshere and Mrs Derbyshere. This had been taken out from the bill present in the pocket of the dead. No one, would handle to accounts, one for them and for others. And in this area never. As to the missing of silver blaze, Holmes revealed, it to be roaming around when their neighbour Silas Brown took the horse to his stables. Thereby, solving the case,
“Not only knowledge but imagination is needed my friend” said Holmes to Gregory ending the case.
