Plot synopsis: There was a merchant,Antonio, in Venice. He worked in the sea port. But later, he finds that there’s been a huge loss in the investment. In the same time, Bassanio, his friend, seeks money. They, together visit Shylock, a moneylender, and asks 3000 ducats. Shylock, who always had a grudge against Antonio, stated that if the money was not returned within three months, a pound of flesh was to be cut from Antonio’s chest. It was too late…..
Will Antonio’s flesh be cut? Will he die? Will the court really do that?……….
interpreting the law wisely, Antonio was saved…….But how???……
