It has been long since I read a good book. Furious enough for a bookworm like me, I searched my whole house for any interesting book and after a lot of mining in my bookshelf, I found a classic Hardy Boys mystery- The disappearing floor

This book by Dixon has indeed made me enjoy reading the whole book in one sit( didn’t even notice time passing by!)

The story starts with a regular and quite simple jewel theft leading the Hardy boys and the police to catch the thief sooner before another theft happens. But, as suspicions lay on Noel Strang, an old thief in the criminal records, a lot of other strange things also happen out of nowhere. The old story of Perth and his mysteriously haunted house lead the Hardy boys on another adventure which horrified them with the ghostly appearance of the house and also the surrounding. But what horrified them even more was the strange tiled floor in the outside bushy area!

As the boys investigate further into the thefts, they get a hunch that there must been a relation with Old Perth’s house and the thefts. But what was it?

As the Hardy boys investigate further on their marvelous adventure on finding Old Perth’s secrets they get astonished by something strange inside the house. Something that had a strange appearance. It looked like a floor but then it was not a normal floor which can be found in every normal house- The floor disappears!

As the Hardy boys set on their journey to catch the jewel thief, they come across various strange incidents- including the strange disappearing floor…

The adventure of the Disappearing floor is indeed a lovely book by Dixon and a classic mystery of the Hardy boys.
